But cleaning up the mess and the dirt in our city centres is just as important as it was when we started out in 1991 as Clean Streets Ltd. So, when the London 2012 Bid team needed to impress the International Olympic Committee, they asked us to focus our considerable experience and resources on a major clean-up. In 2011 the Corporation of London and Transport for London asked RHINOCEROS to carry out an extensive rebuilding and refurbishment of the pedestrian subways at Monument tube station in time for the opening of the 2012 Olympic Games.
That is about as glamorous as it gets in our business. For a lot of the time, we are getting stuck into the things most folk would rather not think about - like removing bird droppings from buildings, clearing blocked drains, replacing broken paving slabs, changing streetlight bulbs...
